We are a family of four originally from Tehran, Iran.
Tell us a little bit about your family.
Sima and Farhad currently own a childcare business serving the community for children 5 years and under. Sarina, a science professor, is now pursuing her dream of becoming a doctor and attends Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine, and Arad is entering into his senior year in High School.
We are a very friendly and welcoming family who wants to help others and also enjoy spending time together. Our garden is full of vegetables which we use to make traditional dishes from our country. The warmth of our family gathering together at the dining table as well as sharing a home cooked meal with guests is something that we treasure.
What are a couple of your favorite restaurants/bars in White Plains?
There is such a variety of bars and restaurants in White Plains and being new to the area, we are excited to explore and visit them in the new future. We recently went to Ron Blacks for brunch and it was great!
Where we live is also easily accessible to the stores on Central Ave which makes shopping very convenient!
What is something on your bucket list?
We love that there are so many parks around us, and especially in the summer to have access to the local pools which also gives us a chance to get to know the community.
What is your design aesthetic and inspiration for your home decor?
Everything that reminds us of our original home and Iranian culture – the food and delicacies, the beautiful handmade Persian rugs, crystal chandeliers and flowers that we have in our home.
